Heritage Bank Sends Staffers In Team Of 6 To 8 Workers After ‘’Clients’’ Of Suspended Director, Mary Akpobome Owing The Financial Institution
Financial institution, Heritage Bank has adopted tougher measure
in attempting to recover it outstanding loans, particularly those credited to
clients handled by suspended director Mary Akpobome.
Akpobome was
sent on ‘’compulsory’’ leave to go recover loans
she facilitated to clients she handled when she got caught on the wrong side of
power play in raging battle for control of bank.
She was one of the powers that be in the internal crisis
afflicted financial institution before she lost out.
And obviously not done with just sending the suspended director
after her clients, and obviously in move to put a check in place, sources
disclose the management of the bank has deployed teams of workers after the
same set of clients.
Insiders reveal the teams are made up of 6 to 8 workers and
their brief is to go to the offices of those Akpobome gave loans to and make
sure they get something back as well as guarantee of further payments
The tactics is that the workers go and crowd the targeted
offices and don’t leave until they get something.
The deployed teams are said to be given targets along with
earmarked commissions to make them undertake the task with gusto.
This development hints at the banks dire need to recover as much
funds as possible, as well as raging fight for control that got Akpobome
suspended as her ‘’clients’’ become primary targets in bid to recoup outstanding
loans
