Details floating into public space from the corridors of the Niger Delta Development Commission has it that there are two main bosses at the place.

There is said to be the official Managing Director and the off the book decision maker.

And they both come from the same home.

Ironically the unofficial boss is being touted as more powerful in the scheme of things than the person given the official mandate.

This is said to be the situation with Nsima Ekere the Managing Director of NDDC and his wife, Ese.

Ese is decorated with the title unofficial decision maker at the commission.

Nsima is said to have allowed the togetherness of his home front to seep into his business place.

And the development has taken root to such an extent that his wife now has strong input about happenings at the commission he heads.

According to news platform thecapital.ng “Sources within the NDDC lament that the affairs of the Organization are currently under the control of two people namely, Nsima and his better half, Ese.

Sources allege that she has suddenly become the unofficial power broker and favour dispenser in NDDC before whom every contractor who has any business to do with the Commission, has to genuflect in order to enjoy the Nsima’s good graces.

Her influence is so overwhelming that even official members of staff tremble at her sight as she brooks no disrespect or dissent from any one, no matter how highly placed he or she may be.

Her word, they say, is law as senior officials fall over each other to pay homage to her while she flaunts her influence and expensive wardrobe of trendy robes and jewelries not hitherto seen on her.”

Added details reveal the influence of Ese at the commission continue to grow as knowledge of the development grows.

Insiders claim those who know where the power resides regarding decision making at the commission know who to really court and advise other accordingly.

Keen observers insist this does not really make Nsima a bad man, but just another good man with too much of affection for the love of his life.
