Ondo Gov Akeredolu Moves Against Senator Boroffice's Ambition


There are indications Ajayi Boroffice the senator representing the people of Akoko  North senatorial district, Ondo State may not return to the upper chamber of the nation's national assembly.

And the reason is clear, Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu who is equally the leader of the party, All Progressive Congress in the state is against the senator reelection bid, highstreetng.com understands.

He's said to be all out exploring all avenues to ensure he did not return. 

He (Akeredolu) will use everything with his power to stop his ambition, an insider volunteered.

"You Know senator Boroffice worked against the incumbent governor during the last governorship election. It's a retaliation of what he did to him then. That is why he's moving against him", an insider divulged.

Further digs revealed the battle rocking the reelection bid of the senator is from double fronts. He also has a serious and more grounded politician from rival People's Democratic Party to contend with, sources disclosed.

Sources told us senatorial ambition of fine PR man and founder of TPT International, Tokunbo Modupe is giving him sleepless nights.

Modupe has shown interest in becoming senator from the same Akoko North Senatorial District.

Modupe is aspiring to fly the flag of PDP in the senatorial district.

According to report monitor on news site societynow.ng Modupe's political move has greatly unsettled Boroffice and by extension his party All Progressive Congress.

A dig into Tokubo Modupe’s political pedigree revealed him to have been instrumental to emergence of not less than five State House of Assembly members, three House of Representatives members and Senators – including Boroffice.

Tokunbo Modupe and Senator Boroffice were, at a time, members of Labour Party.
